Unpaid Meal Charge Policy

CHARGED MEAL POLICY

FOR

CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAMS

TALLASSEE CITY SCHOOLS

 

  1. No adult meals or a la carte items will be charged.
  2. No student a la carte items will be charged.
  3. No meals will be charged to grades 9-12 students unless classified by the district’s special education representative as a child with a disability.
  4.  Grades Pk – 8 students who have lost or forgotten meal money, may, with permission authorized from the principal, or his/her designee, charge a meal.  Monies for these meals will be charged back to the principal in which he/she will have funds from a nonpublic source, such as PTO funds, that he/she may use for these occasions.
  5. Records of all charges and repayments must be maintained.  All charges must be collected by the end of the school year or made up from funds other than Child Nutrition funds.  These funds must be nonpublic, such as from a PTO account.
