Welcome to Curriculum and  Instruction

Building the future, one student at a time is the motto of  Tallassee City Schools System. Working in collaboration with teachers, students, parents, and community members, the motto is our reality.

Through well developed local curriculum and pacing guides, our students are provided the necessary tools to be successful 21st Century learners. As the Curriculum Coordinator,  I have the responsibility to support teachers in their efforts to provide new and innovative teaching strategies. Students who graduate from the Tallassee City Schools System are college and career-ready.

I encourage you to explore the webpage and use its content as resources that will help us implement State School Superintendent, Dr. Tommy Bice's  PLAN 2020. This site includes information on the ACT QualityCore and End-of-Course Assessments, the Alabama Insight Tool brought to us through the Alabama Learning Exchange (ALEX), the new College and Career-Ready Standards and more.

Additonal information such as course of studies, teacher resources, as well parent resources may be located under the homepage tab.

The mission of the Tallassee City School District is to provide a quality education, providing the basis for students to become life-long learners as well as moral, ethical, and compassionate people. A partnership of staff, students, parents, and the community will prepare students to become responsible citizens and productive members of the communities in which they live.
