Brett Horne is teaching Physics, Physical Science and Robotics at Tallassee High School.  He received his Masters of Education from the University of Idaho and has 15 years of experience in the classroom. He has a love for science and teaching that he feels will make a difference for all our students.

Clint Browning is teaching Math at Southside Middle School. He is a graduate of Tallassee High School and received his undergrad from Auburn University, his Masters in Math and Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. He has 4  years in the classroom. Clint & his wife (also a teacher at SMS) live in Tallassee and have two children. 

Georgiana Dorch is the Pre-K auxiliary teacher at Tallassee Elementary School.  She is a 2015 graduate of Trenholm State Technical College and is currently pursuing her BS in Early Childhood Education.  She has two children. She loves working with kids and is excited about the 2019-2020 school year as a Tallassee Tiger. 


Crystal Easterwood  is working in the cafeteria at Southside Middle School. She is a 2006 graduate of Tallassee High School. She is married to Randy Easterwood and they have two children who both attend TCS. She has worked part-time for the past two years in our CNP department and is looking forward to a long fulltime career with Tallassee City Schools. 


Greg Pittman is teaching Biology at Tallassee High School. He received his BS in from Troy State University in 1990 and a Masters in Leadership & Supervision from the University of Phoenix in 2010.  This will be his 27th year in education. He lives in Prattville and has 3 daughters and is looking forward to a successful year with Tallassee City Schools. 

Frederick Graves is teaching Science at Southside Middle School. He earned a BS in Biology from ASU in 1996 and his Masters in 1999. He completed his Administrative Certificate in Education Administration in 2001.  He retired as a Captain from the US Army. He has been teaching for 23 years and is married to an educator who teaches computer science in Montgomery County.  


Aubrey Hopson is a new third grade teacher at Tallassee Elementary. Her and her family moved to Tallassee three years ago from Montgomery. She grew up in Leesburg, Georgia. She enjoys supporting her children in their sporting events, watching college football, and being outdoors. She graduated from AUM with a degree in Elementary Education.

Joe Trussell is teaching English at Tallassee High School. He received his BS from AUM in Secondary Education and his Masters of Liberal Art from AUM.  He has 18 years of experience in the classroom. He is married to Misty Searcy. 


Kelley Hill is teaching Choral at Tallassee High School. She is a graduate of The University of Montevallo where she received her degree in Music Education. She is beginning her 27th year as an educator and is happy to be joining the Tallassee City School System. 


Rachel Turner is the STEM facilitator at Southside Middle School. She is a graduate of Tallassee High School and is married to Allen Turner. They have two children who attend TES. She is looking forward to working with the students at SMS. 


Rebecca Bosch is the Media Specialist at Tallassee High School. She received her undergraduate from Birmingham Southern College in Studio Art and her Masters in Art Education from AUM. She received her library certification from ASU.  This is her 17thyear teaching with 9 of them as a media specialist. She has three children, who all attend Tallassee City Schools.   

Rachel Pate a graduate of Tallassee High School received her BA in Spanish from AUM in May, 2019. She minored in International Studies. She is beginning her career teaching Spanish at Tallassee High School.  She will begin pursuing her Masters in Secondary Education in 2020. 


Ricky Pierce graduated from Lighthouse Christian Academy in 2008. He earned his BS from ASU in 2014 and is currently serving in the Army National Guard.  He comes to us from Monroeville Middle School where he taught PE and coached football and track. 


Reid Riley is teaching History at Southside Middle School. He received his BS in Sports Management from AUM and is currently pursuing his Masters in Secondary Education.  This will be his second year in the classroom.  He will be coaching girls basketball and baseball. He is married and lives in Prattville. 


Taylor Blackwell, a Huntingdon College graduate with a degree in Math and Secondary Education is teaching at Tallassee High School. While earning her Masters in Mathematics she worked at University of South Alabama. This will be her first year in public education.
