Choir earns first prize at competition

Tallassee High School’s music department has done well on the competition circuit over the past two weeks.

At the Alabama National Fair Invitational Choral Festival, the Chamber Choir earned first place honors for the highest score.  The Men’s Choir scored an overall Superior (1) rating and the Women’s Choir also scored an overall Superior (1) rating.

The Pride of Tallassee band has scored straight Superior ratings (1’s) at both the Phenix Invitational Marching Festival in Phenix City as well as the Southeastern States Marching Band Festival in Troy.  At Phenix City, the Pride of Tallassee also earned Best in Class Drum Major, Battery Percussion, Pit Percussion, and Majorettes.

Congratulations to the music students of THS!
