 2021 Tallassee Baseball Preview
The 2021 version of Tallassee Tigers Baseball is working toward preparations for its February 15th opener at Wetumpka. The Tigers are coming off a 2020 season that was shortened due to COVID-19 and finished with an 8-6 record. The junior class, who are now Seniors in this seasons class, are looking forward to a successful campaign and a push for another area title and a playoff birth.
“ This Senior class is full of talented arms and position guys who can make a huge impact on the success of our season with their leadership abilities and performance on the field” The 2021 Senior class consists of Jacob A. Ingram( P/OF), Jacob Dantro(P/OF), Jake Manning(INF), Ethan Stevenson(INF), Tae Collins(P), Jamicah Humphery(OF),and Drake Bonner(DH/OF). These Seniors along with 5 Juniors, 3 Sophomores, and 2 Freshmen make up the roster for the Tigers.
For fans who are planning to attend and watch Tallassee Baseball this season please be aware of the following guidelines. Current Health Order, paragraphs 11.b and 11.c, spectators may attend athletic events, but attendance at events will be reduced: “Players, coaches, officials, and spectators shall not congregate within 6 feet of a person from another household except to the extent necessary-and only to the extent necessary. Spectators shall wear a mask or other facial covering that covers his or her nostrils and mouth at all times while within six feet of a person from another household....... It is also recommended by the AHSAA that all spectators be a minimum six feet away from the playing area throughout the contest. At Southside Field there are areas down the left and right field lines that you may bring your lawn chair so that these guidelines can be followed and our student athletes can say safe and complete the season in full. All tickets will be sold on GOFAN so please check for this when tickets are made available for sale. The Tigers first home date is February 18 versus Benjamin Russell.
