THS Soccer Update as of 3/2/23
Soccer season is off and running and with the addition of 2 new teams we are busier than ever. We have had teams playing for 9 straight school nights. Below is a recap for each team to this point.
VB: The Varsity Boys team is off to a good start. We have had 4 games canceled to this point due to weather or player issues on opposing teams otherwise we would be 9-0. To this point we have scored 43 goals and conceded 0. This is what we are most proud of. Our defense and goalies have yet to allow a single goal. Moving forward if everyone stays healthy and we continue to progress and develop we could have a very good year and make the playoffs. Team goals are to win the area and advance in playoffs.

VG: The VG team is getting better everyday! We notched the first win in program history Tuesday night vs Valley in double OT. This was also an area game which makes it even sweeter. In our minds they are ahead of schedule for a first yr program. They work hard and play even harder. The girls bring grit and determination to every game. They are learning everyday and considering we had to teach them what a throw-in is we are happy with their progress. The future is bright for the VG program and with 23 girls on the roster we will only get better!!
JVB: The JVB got their first win at Holtville this past Monday. This is a group of boys mostly from SMS. They are extremely young which is both good and bad. We will have them for many more years but for the time being they/we are going to take some lumps. They work hard and are learning everyday. We are proud of them and the future is bright!
