The 2023-24 Basketball season has officially started in Tallassee. The THS Girls Basketball Team is off to a great start and one of the best in recent history. The Lady Tigers are currently 3-1 after winning the Veterans Day Tournament at Lamp High and defeating Booker T Washington Magnet High School this past Tuesday. After winning the Veterans Day Tournament, Cheyann Easterling was named Tournament MVP, and Jhakhia Anderson was listed on the All-Tournament Team. The current leading scorer for the Tigers is Kamille Tate. The Tigers are led by 1st year Head Coach Alfonzo Johnson with Assistant Coaches Keiven Mixon and Kuanda Alleyne.
The Tigers are very young this season with only one senior on the roster, with most of the team consisting of 8th-10th grade students. As we are getting close to the Thanksgiving break, the Lady Tigers will hit the court again this Thursday vs Montgomery Academy. The start time for this game will be 6 pm. Come out and support our Lady Tigers!!!
