SMS Defeats Catholic to Remain Undefeated

The SMS Tigers traveled to Montgomery on Monday and came away with a 22-6 victory in a weather shortened game. The game was called in the 4th quarter due to lightning as the Tigers were driving to add another score. SMS was led on offense by Josh Griffin, Joseph Hooks, and Land Bell. Cash Gough also scored on a long TD pass from Griffin. The offensive line of Jude Rogers, Carter Sayers, Brody Wisener, Kaden Peters, Eli Whittington, Slade Clayton, and Hunter Murphy paved the way for the offense to have a successful night. On defense the Tigers only gave up one score and the Knights were not able to get anything else going on offense. Contributors on defense were Catavis Martin at corner, Bry Hathcock at linebacker, and Bryson Rigsby at safety. The Tigers will complete the regular season on Monday night at home versus the Eclectic Middle Panthers at 5:30pm.
