Tell us about the schedule, staff, and players…
“We have put together a very tough schedule that includes some of the best teams in the state. Playing tough competition during the season will get us ready for the postseason.
We have five returning seniors in Chloe Baynes, Chloe Davidson, Belle Haynes, Avary Lumpkin, and Alexis Walls. These ladies have played in big games and tournaments. They know what to expect and what it takes to get there.
Our coaching staff this season includes Pat Love- Head Varsity Coach, Beth Haynes- Assistant Varsity Coach, Jill Manning- Assistant Varsity Coach, Brooke Watson- Head JV Coach, Rachel Brooks - Assistant JV Coach.”
What do you expect out of the JV team?
“We have a young JV team. They have a tough schedule ahead of them. We are excited to see how they compete and develop throughout the season. The goal is to get these girls ready to play at the varsity level.”
What message do you have for the fans?
“The girls play hard and are fun to watch. We hope everyone comes out to see them play. Tickets will be sold through GoFan.”
The Lady Tiger Softball Team kicks of the season on February 17th against the "cross-river" rival ,Reeltown, at the SMS fields. 5:00 pm start.
