Avery Brantley and Mallory Glass both ran in the AHSAA Class 5A state championship. Brantley finished 57th in the 5A boys race with a season-best time of 17:54.67. In the 5A girls race, Glass placed 96th for her time of 24:04.54.

This week's SOS Player of the Week is Camden Mask from Tallassee High School!! Camden is a junior for the Tallassee Tigers and swims the butterfly, breaststroke, and IM which includes the butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. In 2023 Camden won the state champion in the 100 IM at the Alabama Recreation and Park Association championships back in July. He also won 2nd in the 50 breaststroke. In December of 2022, he placed 4th in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 IM at the AHSAA State Championships.
