SMS Parents, the technical difficulties have not been resolved with the testing provider. Practice ACAP Testing is now postponed until further notice. We will inform you with new dates as soon as possible.
SMS Junior Beta Club held its annual induction ceremony for new members on Tuesday evening. 69 students were inducted into our chapter of the Beta Club. We are very proud of each of these students for their accomplishments.
SMS Parents, due to technical difficulties with the test provider, we were unable to complete testing today. The tests have been tentatively moved to Thursday & Friday of this week, pending the technical issues are resolved. We will keep you posted with more information.

SMS Sack of Supper Sweepstakes concluded today with two teachers going home with a "sack full of supper"! We used this opportunity to spread a TON of positivity around our school, & our staff went above & beyond! Mrs. Nelson & Coach Hollinquest were our lucky winners! Congrats!

Parents, Southside Middle School students will participate in the Practice ACAP Assessment on Tuesday & Wednesday, January 30th & 31st! This is an excellent opportunity for us to prepare for our tests in April that will determine 80% of our school's report card! Let's POP!

SMS is proud to announce a DECLINE in chronic absenteeism for the 1st Semester! When compared to last year, we are down 73.81%! Parents, students, & teachers, keep up the great work in making attendance a priority! Chronic absenteeism=18 days missed, excused or unexcused!
