The Tallassee High School Flag Football team had its first game yesterday. The team played a talented Prattville team. The THS ladies came out on top 7-6 in the close match. London O’Neal scored the tiger's touchdown while Kam Tate led the defense with two interceptions. TCS is proud of its Lady Tigers!

Tallassee City Schools Resource Officers, along with the TPD, recovered a firearm from a vehicle parked in the Tallassee High School parking lot this morning. There are no safety concerns at this time.
As a reminder, as we begin fall sports play today, please see the excerpt from the Tallassee City Schools Board Policy Manual.
4.02 Safe Schools Policy (Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Weapons)
4.02.1 Prohibition on the Possession of Firearms – The possession of a firearm in a school building, on school grounds, on Board property, on school buses, or at school-sponsored functions is prohibited except for authorized law enforcement personnel who are certified by the Alabama Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Commission. For purposes of this policy, the term “firearm” has the same definition as is found in 18 U.S.C §921.
